Wockhardt Institute of Nursing plans to offer MSc (Nursing)

Wockhardt Institute of Nursing is planning to offer M.Sc nursing courses affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. This will be a two year full time programme and initially the college will offer specialization in three different areas namely Medical Surgical Nursing, Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing and Community Health Nursing. Total 15 seats will be on offer, each stream having 5 seats. The college has provision for Government candidates as per the rule.

The college is investing heavily to enhance the support facilities to cater to the requirements of PG teaching and its students. Library has been upgraded with text and reference books from several reputed national and international authors. Many reputed International Journals are available for students’ reference. Access to Halinet is available for students interested to refer other journals online. Currently there are more than 2000 text and reference books and 7 international journals related to nursing available at the library.

The college has developed a new extension as its PG Block with spacious class rooms and laboratory. A huge hall is available for seminar and other student activities. Experienced and dedicated PG faculties are available for mentoring students. The college is on the look out for more PG faculties on above subject areas.

Many students have shown keen interest in joining the PG program at this college. “The college is awaiting inspection and approval from INC before it starts admitting students for PG program,” clarifies the principal of the college.
